Vassia Florou

My name is Vassia Florou and I was born in Messolonghi in 2001. I studied at the Department of Tourism Management at the University of Patras. I have worked at a children’s camp at Green Camp as a group leader, and at the W Hotel, Costa Navarino, in guest services, as a bar supervisor, and as an assistant in the central restaurant. Since 2019, I have been volunteering with the organization Messolonghi By Locals, which aims to promote the cultural identity and heritage of Messolonghi through participatory processes that encourage active involvement from the local community. Since 2022, I have been volunteering with TedxPatras, and this year I have taken on a role related to experience, as Experience Manager. TedxPatras promotes education, learning, networking, and the exchange of experiences and ideas—something that excites and inspires me. Currently, I am dedicating my work to designing and implementing a model of responsible tourism that promotes sustainable development in the Messolonghi region through my work with the organization Messolonghi By Locals. Additionally, activities that excite me include swimming, basketball, boxing, theater, and a new passion is the DJing lessons I have already started.
