Giota Giannopoulou

Giota Giannopoulou is a philologist, Med. in “Ancient and Modern Greek Philology,” and a PhD candidate in Rhetoric at the Ionian University. She holds certifications in special education, school psychology, and human resource management. She works as a philologist at “Sygchrona Ekpaideytiria Kotroni” in Nafpaktos. She is a member of the training team and the Board of Directors of the “Hellenic Association for the Promotion of Rhetoric in Education” as well as the research and pedagogical team “Sirius.” Since 2018, she has been actively involved in the organizing committee for the Rhetoric and Democratic Education camps. She is a founding member of the student Rhetoric Club at the University of the Peloponnese and has been part of the organizing and judging committees for rhetorical competitions in the Peloponnese region since 2015, as well as other similar initiatives across Greece. She participates as a speaker at conferences and facilitates rhetoric clubs at all educational levels. In 2020, she was selected by the Rhetoric Association to organize debate tournaments involving 600 students and university participants for the European program “Climate of Change,” in collaboration with Action Aid. For this program, she co-edited a methodological handbook for the tournaments. Beyond her passion for education and Rhetoric, she has a strong love for sports, nature excursions, and traveling.
